
Lava Mobiles is set to unveil its latest smartphone, the Lava Shark 2, in India. Ahead of the official launch, the company has teased key details about the device’s display, highlighting enhancements over its predecessor.
Display Specifications
The Lava Shark 2 will feature a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels. A significant upgrade from the Lava Shark 5G, which offered a 90Hz refresh rate, the Shark 2 will boast a 120Hz refresh rate. This enhancement promises smoother visuals, making it ideal for gaming and multimedia consumption.
The display will also incorporate a hole-punch cutout for the front selfie camera, maintaining a modern design aesthetic.
Design and Build
The Lava Shark 2 will be available in two color options: black and silver. The device will sport a glossy rear panel with a square camera module in the top-left corner, reminiscent of the design seen on the Lava Bold N1 Pro. The camera module will house a 50MP AI triple rear camera setup, accompanied by an LED flash.
Physical buttons for power and volume control will be located on the right side, while the left side will remain clean. The bottom edge will feature a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, and a speaker grille, ensuring comprehensive connectivity options.
Battery and Charging
While specific details about the battery capacity have not been disclosed, the Lava Shark 2 is expected to support 18W or higher fast charging. The device is anticipated to house a 5,000mAh battery, aligning with the trend of offering extended battery life in smartphones.
